the outcomes of the project
The aim of WorkSafe is to develop, test, evaluate, amend and finalize a WorkSafe Manual and a WorkSafe Online Training Course . These two products will provide teachers, work mentors and students with information, tools and materials that help ensure that the work placements are safe learning environments for students both nationally and during international mobilities. 1. WorkSafe Manual
The manual you are currently reading is the Work Safe online manual. Here you will find information and checklists that will help you in your work as a work mentor or a mentoring teacher when accommodating students doing a work based learning experience in the fields of metal work or construction. The aim of this manual is to make it easier for all parties to follow and maintain work safety regulations and to improve collaboration when it comes to making work safety more transparent
|
In this manual you will find:
- links to national legislations relating to work safety in Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Spain (the Basque Country) and France
- suggestions for minimum requirements when it comes to work safety during work based learning
- information about the national differences between Finland, Norway, Netherlands, Spain (the Basque Country) and France
- checklists relating to improved work safety
- information about obligations and responsibilities relating to work safety of the different parties involved in work based learning
The online manual has been built so that it consists of short and informative sections that the users can read during coffee breaks or when they have 10 – 15 minutes to spare. This means that you as a user can choose how much time you put on the manual or how many times you will look at the different chapters of this manual.
The idea of the training course is that it can be used to educate teachers and mentors on how to address and raise awareness of work safety during work based learning within the fields of metal work and construction. 2. WorkSafe Toolbox
WorkSafe has also created a Toolbox that is available through this manual. The idea is that the Toolbox can and should be used side by side with the online manual. The toolbox contains checklists that can be used before, during and/or after WBL. The checklists are available in word format so that you can download them and modify them according to your needs.
